Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) evolves into a political party during 79 yr old pendulum wars. When the Locusts began their attack on human civilization on Sera (Emergence Day) , COG took necessary steps for the survival of human society. Fourteen years later, COG becomes the only human government on Sera.

The game begins fourteen years after Emergence Day . Marcus Fenix, a former war hardened COG soldier,he is reinstated into the COG forces after spending four years in prison. Dominic Santiago extracts him from the prison, and takes him to join Delta Squad. Fenix and his allies (delta squad)recover the device called “Resonator”, that destroyes locusts inhabitancebut suffer multiple casualties in the process. Amidst the chaos, Fenix leads the remaining soldiers through the ruins of Sera, to a mining facility, and finally into the planet’s depths.

Achievements:

The game sold 3 million copies within 10 weeks of its release and was the fastest selling video game of 2006. It was also the 2^nd most played game over Xbox live in year 2007. The game has sold over five million copies since its release. It won several game of the year awards in 2006.

Gameplay is based on bullet time based gun fights, which is a special effect that refers to a digitally-enhanced simulation of variable-speed. Max Payne ,a fugitive DEA agent and former NYPD detective whose wife and newborn daughter were murdered in connection with Valkyr drug case. Max goes undercover in the mob, and eventually becomes a one-man-army vigilante waging a personal war on the crime. Max ends kills hundreds of gangsters while on the run from the police determined on stopping his vendetta against all those responsible for his family's death. He uses metaphors and wordplay to describe the world around him within his inner monologues, which often contradict his external responses to characters he speaks with.

Achievements:

PC and Xbox versions scored 89% on meta critic. The game won many awards for the year 2001, including Best PC Game by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts(BAFTA).

Max Payne 2 was a direct sequel to the original game. There are tons of references and parallels to the original story. It was a stunning shooter and an incredibly intense and, by all means, worth experiencing game .

This speedy and thrilling third-person cover-based shooter is all madness, overwhelming you with gigantic robots, flurries of gunfire, and explosions so powerful and colorful that you might think you feel the heat. Vanquish is a game that takes place in the near future where planet Earth's human population has grown so much that nations of people around the world are fighting for the available resources.

Vanquish debuted at number four (48,318 units PS3 version) and number 14 (11,204 units Xbox 360 version ) on Japanese sales charts during their release week. By the end of 2010, the game sold over 820,000 copies worldwide. It was given a rating of 9.0 by game trailer.

Vanquish was named the game of the year by online show Classic Game Room. GameSpot gave the game two awards: "Best Game No One Played" and "Best Original Game Mechanic" for its rocket-sliding game mechanic. It received many other game of the year awards in year 2010.

It’s one of the best Horror shooter games, and it clearly stands out from the games of the similar genre. Launched simultaneously for all three major platforms, i.e. Xbox360, Playstation 3 & PC.

The story revolves around the Mining Ship, known as the USG Ishimura and the strange happenings there. Protagonist Isaac Clarke, An engineer sent, to investigate why the Ishimura fell off the map. Player explores the dark hallways of this seemingly dead ship, fighting off grotesque creatures known as Necromorphs. The plot unfolds over the course of around a dozen chapters, getting deeper and deeper into what is more than just a strange infection. The game does an excellent job keeping you on your toes, wondering what will happen next, with quite a few great twists thrown in for good measure.

Achievements:

Xbox World 360 awarded the Xbox 360 version a 91 out of 100. Playstation awarded it a 9/10 rating and PSW gold award. IGN rated the game 8.7/10 while GameTrailers gave it 8.8 out of 10.

The game has so far sold more than 2 million copies, according to EA.

Sergeant Marcus Fenix leads Delta Squad into the depths of the planet to try to stop the Locust during the assault upon Locust territory. The player controls Fenix in the main mission campaign, with the ability to play cooperatively with a second player controlling Fenix's best friend and fellow Squad member Dominic "Dom" Santiago. New weapons were also added to the game.

It currently holds a 93.23% aggregate review score at Game Rankings, and a 93/100 from the aggregate review website Metacritic.

Gears of War 2 won several awards. It was given the award of Overall Best Shooting Game by IGN and Overall Best Graphics Technology of E3 2008. Game Critics Awards gave the game Best Action Game of E3 2008. Gears of War 2 won Best Shooter and Best Xbox 360 Game at the 2008 Spike Video Game Awards. The game also received the Best Xbox 360 Game award at the Golden Joystick Awards in 2009.

The game sell over three million copies worldwide within the first month of its release, and pushed past four million in sales within the first two months. It set a new record for the number of simultaneous players on Xbox Live, with over 1 million people logging on to play the game
